Writing Update

I’ve been so absent from here! So I figured I’d update you guys on how my WIP is going.

Originally I’d planned to participate in Camp NaNoWriMo to work on another writing project I’ve been researching for the last few months. That, however, didn’t turn out to be a good idea. I knew in my heart that I had to finish my current WIP in order to give this second project my undivided attention.

I’m still in the editing stages (round three), and I’m excited to be focusing on the characters and rectifying certain inconsistencies in terms of time and place. Writing about a time where little ecological evidence is available can be daunting.

Most of the biggest plot holes were resolved during the second draft edits, so I’ve been able to work on the specifics of the story. The scariest monster staring at me right now is the ending. I’ve rewritten it a few times already, and I’m still not entirely sure that’s how it’s supposed to end! I can’t be the only one who suffers with endings, right?
